The home of the council to be shared and developed into an Innovation Hub for the community [Deadline 31 October 2025]
As part of the 10-year programme, Town Hall Quarter, Watford Borough Council is looking for a team to develop, deliver and operate an Innovation Hub within the existing Town Hall building.
At an estimated value of £4,500,000 to £5,400,000, the scheme has received funding from the development and engagement of a Strategic Business Case in 2021. With the goal of creating ‘a vibrant hub in the heart of the town’, the innovation centre will be a space for creative thinking and new ideas.
The design has scope to expand to include an Incubation Hub to accelerate economic growth and generate work opportunities. Focused on young people, the space is somewhere to start and grow a business.
Since the 1930s, the Town Hall has been the home of the Council. Under new plans, the Innovation Hub will grow to include a council customer service contact point for face to face enquiries, Council offices, community space, meeting rooms, Museum of Watford and shop, a café opening out onto the new town square, and business hub, all as part of the 10-year programme.
Interested parties should enquire by 31 October 2025 via Delta esourcing, where the first stage will be to submit a supplier proposal. Successful candidates will progress to presentations at the second stage: www.delta-esourcing.com/respond/4P7UK8PD44
