Green and Blue Infrastructure study to help set planning standards for open space provision.

Rother District Council seeks consultant for green and blue infrastructure framework study

Technical evidence will inform the 2025-2042 Local Plan [Deadline 15 April 2026]

An experienced consultant is sought to produce a green and blue infrastructure study that will inform Rother District Council’s new Local Plan.

A key piece of technical evidence, the study’s primary purpose is to provide "the robust, quantitative justification required to set planning standards for open space provision, accessibility and quality, and to spatially define the strategic green and blue infrastructure network."

With an estimated contract value of £35,000, evidence from the study will define and underpin the delivery of planning policies and inform the preparation of the council’s new Local Plan (2025-2042).

The knowledge will allow the council to set planning standards for open space provision alongside locations for new homes, jobs, facilities and infrastructure.

This plan will replace Rother’s Core Strategy (2014) and Development and Site Allocations (2019) Plans and sees a current provision of 8,427 new homes by 2042 being suggested.

Submissions must be sent via the East Sussex Procurement Hub e-Tendering Portal: in-tendhost.co.uk/esph/aspx/Home
