Gwynedd Council is seeking an experienced consultant to assess the social and economic value of the cultural sector in the Gwynedd area, including its museums, libraries, archives and historic environment.

Cyngor Gwynedd has successfully secured financial support from the Welsh Government for work that includes this commission to examine the value of the cultural sector and to create an action plan to support Gwynedd’s culture.

The £25,000 project includes producing written and film case studies that showcase good practice within the local sector and the development of the Gwynedd Cultural Action Plan to identify priorities, funding needs and relevant indicators and measures to track success.

The report and the film will need to be bilingual, and the work should be undertaken bilingually.

Tasks include: analysing cultural sector value using national/local data; producing bilingual case studies; developing an action plan reflecting agreed vision and principles; and supporting the Cultural Network through events. Deliverables include value assessment reports, case studies (film/written), an action plan, and network support program.

Tenders will be assessed 80% on quality (experience, methodology, understanding) and 20% on cost.
