Brighton and Hove City Council seeks design teams to redevelop seven residential tower blocks deemed unsafe due to large panel system construction.

The project covers the Hollingdean site, including Nettleton Court and Dudeney Lodge, and the Whitehawk site with five blocks: Kingfisher, Falcon, Kestrel, Heron and Swallow Courts.

The council seeks specialist consultants across four disciplines: employer’s agents, architects with building safety expertise, structural and civil engineers, and fire safety engineers.

The programme for this project has several complex risk factors related to the existing residents, demolition and the council’s build phase delivery model. However it is the council’s intent to complete the redevelopment in the fastest realistic timescale and has therefore left this contract with a 5 year initial term allowing for a long extension to cover some appointments potentially remaining client side during the build phase.
